Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme

Appleyards can assist CRC participants in all aspects of the scheme, from the provision of advice, carrying out of audits, and creation of statutory Footprint Reports, to our full CRC Outsourcing Solution where Appleyards manage and deliver the entire obligation for auditing, reporting and purchasing credits on our clients’ behalf.

We have in-depth knowledge of carbon trading and reduction schemes with a strong track record of increasing efficiency and providing demonstrable energy and cost savings to our clients. Our registered auditors conduct Footprint Audits of current consumption in line with international standards and create reports that include opportunities for improvement and efficiencies. We work with clients to produce Energy Management Strategies to ensure energy efficiency and optimised financial benefits in the short, medium and long term.

Our practical experience with renewable and low to zero carbon (LZC) technologies allow us to provide detailed advice on their implementation where appropriate. We conduct feasibility studies, provide practical advice on the numerous finance options available including grants and loans, and manage installation and monitor performance in use.

Organisations participating in the CRC can obtain significant financial benefits by implementing Early Action measures specified by the scheme, for example implementing recognised energy efficiency standards such as the Carbon Trust Standard, before April 2011. We can help clients to implement these Early Action measures to realise the best possible financial and reputational benefits.
