Specific CDM Services
On appointment
- Inform the Client of their duties and answer queries on those duties.
- Notify the Health and safety Executive (HSE) of the project and then issue updates as necessary.
- Visit site to gain an understanding of the project as a whole and identify at an early stage any foreseeable hazards that might affect the health, safety and welfare of those involved in the project.
At all stages of the Project
- Provide advice and assistance to the Client to enable them to comply with their duties under CDM2007.
- Ensure that adequate arrangements are in place for managing the project.
- Advise the client on the adequacy of the management arrangements
Design Stage
- Identify, collect and circulate the Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
- Advise the client if further surveys or investigations are required to fill any significant gaps.
- Liaise with designers and attend design meetings as appropriate
- Ensure designers comply with their duties under CDM2007.
Tender Stage
- Prepare the PCI packs and issue copies with the tender documents.
- Assess the competence and resources of tendering contractors and advise the client.
Pre-Contract Stage
- Liaise with the Principal Contractor in relation to the production of the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
- Advise the client on the suitability of this initial Plan and arrangements made to ensure welfare facilities are on site from the start of the construction phase.
Post Contract Stage
- Advise the client and the Principal Contractor of the health and safety implications of any significant design change.
- Attend site meetings where necessary.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of the Health and Safety File.
At Completion
- Collate information from the designers and Principal Contractor for the Health and Safety File.
- Prepare and update when appropriate, the Health and Safety File and deliver to the Client.
