Marilyn worked for Kent County Council (KCC) for 19 years in a variety of education roles, becoming Director of Strategy, Policy and Performance (Children, Families and Education) in 2000. Marilyn has directed Kent’s successful Academy programme, attracting over £300m of capital investment. She led all CFE’s major reviews including integration of Education and Children’s services, established Kent Children’s Trust and established 23 school collaborative clusters now Local Children Services Partnerships. Marilyn joined Appleyards in 2008 as Strategic Education Adviser.
