Academies & Trust Schools

Appleyards has been involved in the Academies programme since 2004 and is a project management and education framework consultant to the DCSF. Our team members have delivered over 50 Academies including federated Academies, All Age Academies and boarding accommodation. As part of the programme we have introduced a range of innovative structures into schools such as extended days, new vocational learning opportunities, the International Baccalaureate, enrichment activities and personalised learning. We are passionate about promoting the benefits that Academy and Trust status can bring to students and local communities.

We work with a wide range of sponsors from educational charities such as the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, United Learning Trust and Edge to further education and higher education establishments such as Sussex Downs College, Stoke on Trent College, University College London, the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University.

Appleyards is also a consultant to the DCSF Academies Group and the Office of the Schools Commissioner on its Niche framework.
