Eight Academies opening
2009 has been a busy time for the Education Team with 8 academies being prepared for opening. We are pleased to announce that the following Academies opened in September:
- Nottingham Bulwell Academy Haberdasher Aske’s Academy in Crayford
- London City of London Academy in Hackney
- London Two Academies in South Gloucestershire forming the Ridings Federation of Academies
- The Shoreham Academy in Sussex sponsored by the United Learning Trust
- The Nottingham Academy – the largest Academy yet to be opened
- The Strood Academy in Medway – a highly accelerated project – approx 6 months from start to opening
