Appleyards work with a limited number of sub-consultants and suppliers with whom we have a long established working relationship and whom we consider to be part of the extended Appleyards family.

We build positive relationships with our clients, suppliers and other consultants we work with who share and support our core values.  We encourage and influence our clients to achieve the best from their business through the work that we carry out for them.  We endeavour to pay our suppliers on time. We influence other consultants we work with to enhance the positive benefits of the projects we carry out together. 

We measure our success in this area through the referrals and testimonials we receive from our clients and the consultants we work with and our payment record to our suppliers.

Example

Appleyards was commissioned by Defra to carry out a feasibility study to investigate the potential of using biomass boilers as an energy source on the Defra estate. 

Appleyards identified a small scale woodchip provider in the North West, although the current scale of his equipment restricted his ability to supply. Appleyards assisted him to secure grant aid for purchasing processing and delivery equipment, which enabled him to increase his capacity. This brought mutual benefits by providing a suitable supplier for Defra, and also by opening up new opportunities for the woodchip provider in the local rural communities.
