Building Schools for the Future rebuilds, remodels and upgrades existing school sites in the UK to provide top quality, flexible learning environments. In Leicester, fifteen schools and colleges will be improved through buildings, facilities and Information Communications Technologies (ICT).

Supporting the Miller Consortium in their bid for the BSF programme in Leicester, Appleyards PFI Procurement Team acted as Technical Advisers. Leicester was only the eighth local authority in the country to have reached preferred bidder stage in the BSF programme and was also one of the largest schemes. As the project enters a phase of real delivery, our team will be at the forefront of providing new designs and delivery solutions for secondary education.

With an additional partnership, Appleyards also has a joint appointment during the construction phase as the Funder’s Technical Adviser and Independent Certifier.
