The project involved demolition of the old vandalised 1970's community building and construction of a new community building providing extended and improved facilities. The new centre is designed for three organizations - a youth club, the local library and Hounslow Sure Start. It is also available for use by the wider community.

The project involved many challenges such as building adjacent to the Heathrow Airport runways which presented significant acoustic design issues. Also, the team were faced with the problems of building on an old landfill site which led to the discovery of asbestos in the ground; and also the problem of Japanese Knotweed being present on the site.
