Discovery New School (DNS) in Crawley was one of the first group of Free Schools to be given the green light for opening in September 2011. A key issue for the proposers was establishing an admissions process that attracted a broad cross section of the local population and enabled parents to apply to send their child to the school from September 2011. Within just a few weeks of our appointment we supported the submission of the school’s Business Case and put in place a compliant admissions process, producing a prospectus and application form to enable the proposers to promote their school to local parents. The demand for the school is such that it is already oversubscribed.

We also worked with the Discovery team to support recruitment and an array of pre-opening tasks like putting in place financial systems, insurances, policies and procedures.
